PURPOSE:To eliminate gaps and defects and to prevent leakage by providing preliminarily a linear ultrasonic seam weld line on the brazing surfaces of members. CONSTITUTION:A brazing material-clad sheet 2 which is preliminarily clad with a brazing filler metal is used for at least one of the surfaces of members requiring brazing or a foil 5 of the brazing filler metal is inserted between the opposed surfaces of both members. Both members are excitated ultrasonically in a prescribed position and are subjected to continuous linear seam welding 8 (weld width Wmu), by which the members are tack-welded. The tack-welded members are heated in a brazing furnace to melt the brazing filler metal 4 or the foil 5 and thereafter the members are cooled to solidify the molten brazing filler metal. |
