PURPOSE:To make it possible to determine the control specifications for automatic speed change with a few man-hours by setting the required conditions for the operation of a speed changing system with first - third signal generators. CONSTITUTION:A simulation apparatus 1 is operated in response to the output signals from the following devices: a first signal generator 2 which outputs a set-rack position signal RS for setting the position of a rack which adjusts the fuel of a fuel injection pump; a second signal generator 3 which outputs a set absorption torque signal AT for setting vehicle absorption torque, i.e. the running resistance of a vehicle; and a third signal generator 4 which outputs a set-clutch signal for setting the operating amount of a frictional clutch included in a speed changing system. In the first - third signal generators 2 - 4, the conditions of the rack position, the vehicle absorption torque and the clutch position for simulation can be arbitrarily set. A torque computing part 5 computes the output torque of an interval combustion engine in accordance with a relation computing expression. The engine torque signal ET is imparted into a data computer 6 wherein the AT signal and the CS signal are inputted. |
