PURPOSE:To contrive the maintenance of a low outlet ozone concn. over an extended period of time by providing, between an exhaust ozone inlet opening and an exhaust outlet opening, a decomposition tower filled with a catalyst for decomposing ozone on the side of the exhaust ozone inlet opening and a decomposition tower filled with active carbon in series connection with the side of the exhaust outlet opening. CONSTITUTION:Between an exhaust ozone inlet opening 4 and an exhaust outlet opening 5, a decomposition tower 11 filled with a catalyst 2 for decomposing ozone is provided on the side of the ozone inlet opening 4 and a decomposition tower 12 filled with active carbon is provided in series connection with the side of the exhaust outlet opening 5. As a result, the ozone concn. at the outlet opening can be maintained low over an extended period of time, e.g. at most 0.1ppm of the environmental standard, the amt. of the active carbon used is decreased considerably and the replacement interval can be lengthened. |
