PURPOSE:To avoid increase in differential pressure between electrodes to prevent the breakage of a fuel cell by quickly exhausting anode gas passed through an anode for a specified time when a recycle blower for transferring anode gas, installed in a gas recycle line stopped. CONSTITUTION:When a recycle blower 5 for transferring anode gas, installed in an anode gas recycle line 6 stopped by power failure or other troubles, a motor control center 32 detects a stop signal and sends it to a controller 15. The controller 15 instantaneously opens a second on-off valve 24 from current opening to set opening, and synchronously closes a second on-off valve 23 to stop supply of anode gas to an anode gas supply line 21. After specified time was elapsed, the opening of the second on-off valve 24 is returned to the original value by a usual automatic mode. Increase in differential pressure between electrodes 2, 3 is avoided and the breakage of a fuel cell can be prevented. |
