PURPOSE:To improve drivability of an engine, by applying a condition of an engine intake air quantity/engine speed (Q/N) of annealing calculation to one of the decisions for air pump operation and inhibiting the air pump operation due to an overshoot at the beginning of acceleration. CONSTITUTION:Each data of an intake air quantity Q of an engine, engine speed N, engine temperature T and other engine parameters is read by an electric controller to calculate Q/N and perform annealing calculation of the Q/N. When the engine temperature is higher than a preset value showing engine warming and the engine speed N is higher than a preset value then the Q/N is larger than a decision value, an air pump operative instruction is generated. In this way, a supercharge control valve 7 is closed, and a magnetic clutch 9 is connected to drive an air pump 8 by the engine and feed supercharged intake air to the engine. |
