A thin-walled pipe coupling in which an annular protuberance (13) formed by deformation of the pipe wall is engaged by a coupling structure (20,31) the annular protuberance being spaced from the end of the pipe to leave a cylindrical wall portion (16) which is engaged by a sealing ring (25) and the protuberance having a face (14) remote from the end of the pipe which is engaged by the coupling structure to prevent axial disengagement characterized in that the coupling structure comprises a socket (20) in which the pipe end is received, the sealing ring (25) is mounted within the socket, the annular protuberance (13) is located in a recess (29) in the socket, and the said face (14) is approximately perpendicular to the pipe axis and is engaged by an annular nut (31) which fits closely around the pipe and is screwed into the socket.
