PICTURE CODING METHODE

The method is for transmitting the image by dividing a whole image into small blocks. The divided blocks are coded separately. The blocks whose data are similar to each other are preocessed by mean value, but the blocks whose data are different from each other are processed by the discrete cosine transformation (DCT). The block processed by the DCT is applied for run length coding (RLC) to compress the transmitting data. These coded data are transmitted through a transmission line (10).
