Heated cushions for car seats incorporate a plastics base 4 and a heating cable 2 located in some way or other on the base 4 and a covering layer 1 which can be made of fabric or plastic. The object of the invention is to simplify the production of a heated cushion with heating cable and this is effected by applying to the base 4 a layer of hot-melt adhesive 3. This is made to attach to the base 4 by heating. Onto the base 4 with affixed hot- melt adhesive 3, a heating cable 2 is now placed. When orientating the heating cable according to requirement, the layer of hot-melt adhesive 3 is re-heated, whereupon the cable 2, beyond a narrowing, has been fixed to the base 4. A covering layer 1 is subsequently placed on top of the fixed cable, whereupon the hot-melt adhesive has once more to be re-heated. Beyond the narrowing, a heated cushion unit has materialized in which all three components are fixed to one another by means of a layer of hot-melt adhesive. |
