PLATIC OPTICAL FIBERS

摘要

A plastic optical fiber comprises a polymeric core (I) and a cladding. The cladding comprises a transparent copolymer (II) contg. 20-99.95 wt.% fluoroalkyl (meth)acrylate and 0.05-10 wt.% vinyl monomer having a hydrophilic gp. Refractive indices of (I) and (II), n1 and n2, satisfy that the relationship n1-n2 is at least 0.01. The fiber has an excellent light transimission property.
