PURPOSE:To improve the coefficient of performance by a method wherein a cooling operation is peformed by connecting a solar heat absorbing type cooler in series with a heat pump and a heating operation at the time when the amount of insolation is small is performed by utilizing solar heat as a heat source for the low temperature side of the heat pump. CONSTITUTION:For performing the cooling operation, a heat collecting circuit such as a heat collecting pump 8, the absorbing type cooler 4, a heat source side circuit such as a heat pump 6 and a load circuit are turned ON, cooling water in an absorbing type cooling tower 5 is supplied to the absorbing type cooler 4 by operating valves V1-V12 to thereby cool absorbed water. Then the hot water in a heat collector 1 is supplied to heat the absorbed water and water vapors are separated. The water vapors are then condensed and re-vaporized to lower the temperature of cold water from a cold water storage tank 3. Further, the temperature of the cold water is further lowered by the heat pump 6. On the other hand, when the amount of insolation is small, the heating operation is performed in such a manner that the cooler 4, the absorbing type cooling tower 5 and a heat pump cooling tower 7 are turned OFF so that the cold water in the cold water storage tank 3 is transferred to the high temperature side of the heat pump by the heat supplied from an evaporator E and a condenser C. |
