PURPOSE:To easily compensate astigmatic difference by arranging a lens, which irradiates a beam shaping surface with laser luminous flux in a divergent luminous flux state between a semiconductor laser and the beam shaping surface. CONSTITUTION:The lens 11 is interposed between the semiconductor laser 1 and an anamorphic prism 13 and the laser luminous flux emitted from a light emission point 0 is diverged slightly by this lens 11 and made incident on the beam shaping surface. When the diverged luminous flux is made incident on the beam shaping surface which is arranged slantingly, the astigmatism is generated because of the asymmetry of the angle of incidence. When the laser luminous flux is made incident on the slanting surface and expanded in luminous flux diameter in the direction where the sectional diameter is small, this direction is the one wherein the astigmatism cancels the astigmatic difference of the semiconductor laser. Consequently, the astigmatic difference of the semiconductor laser is easily compensated. |
