The subject of the invention is a profiled bearing section with a variable relative thickness e, fitted to a yacht hull 1. The latter is rigid on the front and comprises a flexible planing underwater profiled part 2 on the rear, passed through by a stabilising plane 4 by means of a slide rail 9 easily adjusted for deformation of the flexible profile 2, which allows it to adapt its bearing characteristics to the stresses of the lift forces Fp generated by the plane of water when it moves. The slide rail 9 is equipped with a pressure take-off 65 in front of and in the axis of the stabilising plane 4, which allows a pressure P to be maintained which is satisfactory for the requirements of the depressurisation 66 on the outer face of the stabilising plane, in order to combat the cavitation problems of the latter. <IMAGE>
