<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a space strong in its strength against on external shock by forming, in the vicinity of the inside of a rear quarter panel, the space for setting up a fuel tank surrounded by a cross member, a side member and a reinforcement striding across these members. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a rear quarter panel 2 positioned in the rear side of a car body 1, the panel 2 provides in its upper part front and rear two cross members 3, 4 of closed sectional structure respectively fixed in each end part to this panel 2 and between both the cross members 3, 4 the first reinforcement 7 connecting these members while the second reinforcement 10, connecting this reinforcement 7 to a side member 8 fixed to the lower part of an inner panel 2a of the rear quarter panel 2, is provided. By each of members 3, 4, 8 and the reinforcements 7, 10 in the above, a reinforced space part A is formed in the vicinity of the inside the rear panel 2, and a fuel tank 11 is arranged in the space part A.</p> |
