NEW MATERIAL:A colony-stimulating factor-producing cell strain 'KX-87' originated from human hepatic cancer cells and having the following characteristics. Shape: cell similar to fibroblast cell or epitheliocyte cell; multiplicity: good multiplication; subculture: capable of being infinitely cultured; formability of tumor boss in a nude mouse: tumor cancers are highly often formed when subcutaneously transplanted; freezing storage: capable of being stored in liquid nitrogen for a long period; substance-producing ability: persistently producing the colony-stimulating factor. USE:Useful for preparing the remedies of infectious diseases and immunodeficient diseases. PREPARATION:For example, a tumor boss tissue of a primary hepatic cancer patient accompanied by a remarkable neutrophilia is collected and cultured in a 15% semi-fetal serum-added RPMI 1640 medium to provide the colony- stimulating factor-producing cell strain capable of being subcultured within approximately two weeks. The colony-stimulating factor can be separated from the supernatant of the culture solution of the cell strain.
