A rail installation for transporting trolley conveyors consists of rectilinear and/or curved profiled rails (1) of preferably C-shaped cross-section, which are open at the bottom and accept roller mechanisms. Point and crossing sections (5/6, 7/8) which are slidingly guided perpendicular to the transit sections and shaped appropriately to the linear guiding of the transit sections are arranged in the regions of the points and crossings of the profiled rails (1). Each point (3) or crossing (4) is provided with an overrun control part (12) which pivots on a fixed bearing (9, 10) of the profiled rail (1) about an axis (11), is hinged to both point and crossing sections (5/6, 7/8) and extends into the path of the roller mechanism of the profiled rails (1). The point (3) or crossing (4) together with a section (5/7), is pushed mechanically out of the transit section and, together with the other section (6/8), into the second transit section and vice versa by said overrun control part. |
