A process for producing a laminated imide resin sheet, which comprises impregnating a base material e.g. glass fibre with a varnish, drying the impregnated base to give prepregs, and laminating two or more of these prepregs, wherein said varnish comprises an aromatic imide compound having two or more imide groups and two or more amino groups in the molecule, an unsaturated imide compound and an epoxy compound as resin components, and said resin components are dissolved in a polar solvent in such a manner as to give a ratio among the active hydrogen equivalent of the amino groups of the aromatic imide compound, the imide group equivalent of said unsaturated imide compound and the epoxy equivalent of said epoxy compound of from 10:1:5 to 10:10:40, as well as a laminated imide resin sheet thus obtained are disclosed. The laminated imide resin sheet suffers from no cracking upon prolonged exposure to a high temperature and has a high dielectric strength and an improved interlaminar strength.
