PURPOSE:To produce a titled rolled plate of high resistances to oscillations, corrosion and weather by cold rolling ferrite matrix spheroidal graphite cast iron dispersed finely with graphite to a thin sheet. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal applied with the treatment of dispersing spheroidal graphite finely into ferrite matrix is cast directly between rolls, and the resultant directly rolled cast iron plate is subjected to surface grinding and vacuum annealing to form a material for cold rolling. Or general cast iron is melted in a kryptol furnace and is subjected to a spheroidizing or inoculating treatment, after which it is cast in said molds and is subjected to ferritization annealing. This is subjected to hot rolling, surface grinding and vacuum annealing to form a material for cold rolling. Such material for cold rolling is cold- rolled under arbitrary conditions, whereby a thin sheet is produced. The resultant product retains the properties intrinsic to cast iron and is free from cracking and other defects. |
