Method and device for tensioning a screen-printing frame

A device (1) serves for pretensioning screen-printing frames (2), their frame limbs (4) being deformed and prestressed elastically inwards. For this purpose, the device (1) has tension arms (13) with claws (14) located at the free ends for hooking into the frame limbs (4). By applying tension to the tension arms (13), the frame limbs (4) are then drawn inwards and, during this process, are slightly elastically deformed. In this case, the deformation force corresponds approximately to the prestressing force of a printing fabric (3) to be connected to the frame (2), such that, when the fabric tension is transferred to the respective frame (2), no further deformation of the frame occurs and the fabric tension is thus maintained (Figure 5). <IMAGE>
