The invention relates to a solenoid valve, the armature of which is arranged on a sleeve which is mounted on both sides of the solenoid armature space in order to largely avoid the ingress of foreign particles into the armature space. The operability of the solenoid valve is improved by leakage fluid being drawn off to the tank in the area of the pressure-side bearing point, and in addition the valve connections are arranged in such a way that no pressure gradient bears on the solenoid armature space. The ingress and depositing of foreign particles in the armature space is thus effectively avoided.
