摘要 A hydrogen recombiner has a recombination vessel (1) which, by its main axis (2) is arranged essentially parallel to the action of gravity and which has inlet valves (flaps, gates) (12) and outlet valves (17). Arranged in the recombination vessel (1) there are catalyst surfaces (9), extending parallel to the main axis (2), of a non-self-limiting catalyst. The inlet valves (12) and the outlet valves (17) can be closed by means of a hydrogen detector which is arranged in the vicinity of the inlet port (11). An electronic window circuit generates control signals for at least one closure drive of the inlet valves (12) and the outlet valves (17), by means of which the opening width (aperture) of the inlet valve (12) and the outlet valve (17) can be adjusted continuously, the lower limit of the window of the window circuit being in the range of a few tenths of a percent of hydrogen concentration in air, and the upper limit being in the range of from three to four percent of hydrogen concentration. In the event of a hydrogen concentration outside the predetermined window of the window circuit, a closure signal for the valves (12, 17) is generated. <IMAGE>
