PURPOSE:To prevent precipitation in a stabilizing soln. of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material and to permit rapid processing by incorporating a thiocyanate and/or iodide into a processing soln. and specifying a surface tension of a bath for processing the silver halide color photographic sensitive material succeedingly to the processing with said processing soln. CONSTITUTION:At least 1 mole/liter thiocyanate and/or iodide is incorporated into a processing soln. having fixing effect, and a silver halide color photographic sensitive material is processed with the processing soln., then with a processing soln. having 8-50 dyne/cm surface tension. The processing soln. having a fixing effect means a soln. contg. a fixing agent for silver halide in a processing soln., such as a fixing soln. (including acid hardening fixing), bleach-fix bath. Suitable thiocyanate to be incorporated into the processing soln. having fixing effect is ammonium thiocyanate, potassium thiocyanate, sodium thiocyanate, etc. Thus, a silver halide photographic sensitive material can be processed rapidly without generating precipitates in the photosensitive material or the processing soln. |
