PURPOSE:To obtain the title prepreg with excellent adhesiveness and flame retardancy and low heat buildup and smoking characteristics by compounding a thermosetting phenol resin with an epoxy resin, an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and a resin-coated red phosphorus. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting phenol resin (a specified granular phenol resin is especially pref. as it emits hardly phenolic odor, provides a varnish with a high viscosity, has excellent stability and storage characteristics, and exhibits little tackiness) is compounded with an epoxy resin (a polyglycol type epoxy resin is pref. as the flexibility is increased by using it), an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and a resin-coated red phosphorous. The title prepreg with excellent adhesiveness and flame retardancy and low heat buildup and smoking characteristics during burning and suitable for preparing honeycomb sandwich panels used for structural materials of airplanes, sporting goods, ships, buildings, etc., is obtd. |
