The invention concerns a device for cleaning the transfer drum (10) of an electrophotographic printing machine, using a stripper edge (13) which can be swung up against and away from the drum (10) and is designed as an expendable part. In order to be able to replace the stripper edge (13) or a sealing strip (30) located in the toner collecting zone of the cleaning device, the cleaning device can be pulled out of the printing machine along guideways (38). When this is done, the toner discharge outlet is closed automatically. To prevent paper and toner particles from adhering to the end of the stripper edge (13), a device is fitted which causes the stripper edge to oscillate as the machine operates. When printing stops, the stripper edge (13) is swung away from the drum (10). |
