Composite tile - with baseplate of regenerated plastic and thin faceplate of natural material

Plastic tiles for structural purposes, esp. for flooring, have on the visible side a thin decorative lining, made of natural materials such as marble, stone or wood. The base plates can have channels to accommodate installation pipes etc. The base plates (1) are made of low-cost plastic material such as regenerated or waste plastomer and have channels (3) for water or air conditioning pipes or cables. The thin decorative plate (2) of natural material leaves pref. a rim along the periphery. ADVANTAGE - This is a less costly flooring material than solid natural marble etc. and combines ease of cleaning with a good wear resistance.
