The loudspeaker has a necked cone fitted to a circular opening of a pressure chamber (1) defined by a membrane (2) which has an outer annular surface concentric to an inner circular surface. Each surface has a respective curvature, with the neck of the cone fitting into a symmetrical gap in front of the loudspeaker membrane (2). Pref. the position of the latter gap allows suppression of the pressure chamber resonance in the radial oscillation direction. ADVANTAGE - High efficiency loudspeaker with relatively low cost.
