<p>A conductivity or capacitivity cell (19) comprises a cylindrical core (11), surrounded by a braided sock (13). The electrical resistance in the sock (13) is sensed by means of two electrodes in the form of wires (15 and 17) which comprise warp threads in the braided sock. The starting workpiece for the cell is produced by the meter by braiding the sock together with the wires (15 and 17) on a core of indefinite length which is thereafter cut into sections, each section being a cell blank. The invention relates both to the cell and the method of producing the same as well as a sensor and a reference sensor making use of the cell (19).</p> |
