In the cool-air stream of a cooking device, an air sensor switch is arranged which switches off the heating elements of the cooking device when the cooling air blower fails. To ensure with simple means that the blower restarts, the ventilator switch is connected in series with change-over contacts (a2; b2) of a thermostat which, in the case of a cold cooking device, are open towards the blower motor (M) but closed towards the heating elements. <IMAGE>
