At least one bimetal spring heated by the working current lies at a slider only in the deflected position. By this means a microswitch (19) is operated for the working current. A number of identical modules (1, 2, 3) is provided corresp. to the number of phases. Their housings (4) are fixed to each other in a row with a fixing position (11, 13) respectively provided on one side for a bimetal sping (8) heatable from the assigned phase and a passage recess (16) provided on the other side running at right angles to the spring axis.$ The slider (18) extending across all the modules (1, 2, 3) is laid in a channel (17) formed by the passage recesses (16).$ USE/ADVANTAGE - Overload relay for overloads, e.g. produced by blocking of tool. Ensures full protection, simply built, produced cost effectively. Easily matched to individual requirements.
