摘要 A time period (tx) whose start is defined by a first control signal (CL1) and whose end is sampled by a second control signal (CL2), is intended to be measured with the aid of a base time (tm) used as a time increment, in such a way that long-term variations in the base time are not included in the measurement. Before commencing the actual measurement, the second control signal (CL2) is triggered earlier than the first control signal (CL1) in a first measuring run and the first advance time (na.tm) is measured by sampling with the base time (tm). In a subsequent second measuring run, the advance time is increased by a known fixed time value (tf) with respect to the first advance time and the second advance time resulting therefrom is measured in the same way. The base time (tm) can be determined from the two measurement results. The method can advantageously be used in testing the time response of digital (switching) circuits. <IMAGE>
