<p>Systems for the removal of pollutants/contaminants from effluent gases and/or the atmosphere by combinations of particulate screenings, water/steam scrubbing of oxides of sulfur, oxygen mediated combustion of flammable gases and catalytic conversion. Three specific systems are disclosed for the cleaning of: (i) flue and stack gas fumes, (ii) atmospheric air (on a large scale), (iii) exhaust fumes from motorized vehicles (automobiles, aeroplanes etc.).</p> |
