A sealing device for a petrol pump nozzle for use in the fuel-tank filler pipe (12) provided with an orifice (4) of reduced diameter, comprising a sealing ring (8) of polymeric material, which is provided with a sealing lip (4) that can be brought into engagement with the petrol pump nozzle. The sealing ring (8) is accommodated in a supporting body (13) of essentially tubular shape and the supporting body (13) is resilient in at least a partial region and can be introduced into the filler pipe (12) through the orifice (14) by virtue of a reversible diameter reduction. In said filler pipe, it can be brought into engagement with and held in the axial direction by at least one projection (3) of the filler pipe (12), said projection pointing inwards in the radial direction. ……
