<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a humidity sensor excellent in response and durability, by providing a humidity sensitive layer wherein sublimable org. coloring matter low in the resistance value by moisture absorption is diffused and penetrated into hygroscopic resin having a softening point near to the sublimation point of said coloring matter on an insulating substrate having a detection electrode formed thereto. CONSTITUTION:A resin layer 3 having a softening point near to the sublimation point of sublimable org. coloring matter lowered in the resistance value thereof by moisture absorption is formed onto an insulating substrate 1 comprising Al2O3 so as to cover the surface of the substrate 1 having comb shaped electrodes 2, 2 formed thereon from thermoplastic hygroscopic resin having a group such as OH, COOH or CONH, for example, polyester resin or nylon resin. In the next step, the alcohol solution of the aforementioned sublimable org. coloring matter 5, for example, rhodamine B or malachite green is applied to art paper 4 and, after drying, the coating surface of the coloring matter 5 thereon is superposed to the layer 3 while heating is performed from the side of the art paper 4 under pressure to penetrate the coloring matter 5 into the periphery of the electrodes 2 in the layer 3 and to precipitate the same thereto. By this method, a sensor free from the solidification and the effluence of the coloring matter even under high humidity, especially under a dew condensed state and excellent in responsiveness is obtained.</p> |
