PURPOSE:To provide the subject medium having excellent whetstone particle dispersibility, not forming any hard cake also after long storage and giving excellent processing efficiency and processing accuracy by containing a base oil, a wax (oxide) and a surfactant as essential components in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective medium contains (A) 70-99wt.% of a base oil selected from a mineral oils, fats and oils, esters and alcohols, (B) 0.5-20wt.% of a wax preferably having a melting point of 80-130 deg.C and/or an oxide thereof and (C) 0.5-10wt.% of a surfactant preferably having an HLB of <=10 (especially <=8) as essential components. |
