<p>A feeding trough e.g. for rabbits or other creatures kept in cages or not, consists of a base to contain the feed (2), covered by a tunnel (3) with apertures (4) in its side wall (5) which allow the animals to push their heads through to reach the feed. The top of the tunnel has lengthwise slots for adjustable shutters (7) opposite each of teh apertures (4). The shutters are made of flexible material which restricts the access of young animals to the feed, but which can be pushed open by more mature animals.</p> |
