PURPOSE: To provide a rotary combustor having effective connections which are provided between adjacent water-cooled pipes and prolong the effective service lives of the pipes, by forming a wall of a plurality of water-cooled pipes fixed to each other so as to demarcate a cylindrical surface, fixing the water-cooled pipes to each other, at the same time, forming perforated strips through which a gas is made to flow in the combustion chamber of the combustor of cylindrical metallic rods, and welding the strips to adjacent water-cooled pipes in parallel with the axial lines of the water-cooled pipes. CONSTITUTION: A rotary combustor 1 has a cylindrical wall 3 formed by connecting a plurality of water-cooled pipes 5 with strips 7 along parallel axial lines so that a cylindrical internal surface 9 may be formed as a whole. The rotary combustor 1 is rotatable and, when the combustor 1 is rotated, wastes 11 move in the axial direction along the internal surface 9 as a whole while the waste 11 slowly roll on the surface 9 during combustion, are mixed with combustion air, and are burned. The combustion air is supplied from a wind box 13 provided below the wall 3 and an air regulating valve or damper 15 which controls the flow rate of the air is provided in the box 13.
