Multidirectional contact sensor for a checking machine, comprising a movable feeler (18) fixed to a flexible diaphragm (28) secured to one end of a body (16) capable of being fastened to a checking machine by means of a fastening (14). The sensor (10) comprises, furthermore, an optoelectronic system for detecting the movements of the feeler (18), capable of controlling the displacement or stopping of the checking machine.
