<p>PURPOSE:To increase an area occupied by a liquid crystal display device and to increase the volume of information by providing holding members between transparent lower and upper electrodes in the area surrounded by parallel lower electrodes and upper electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Transparent electrodes 7 are formed on a transparent base 6 consisting of an acrylic material or the like, interval holding materials 5 are formed on the surface of the electrode 7 and a transparent plastic film 3 is formed on the material 5. Transparent electrodes 4 consisting of tin oxide or the like are arranged under the film 3. The intersecting parts 9 of the transparent electrodes 4, 7 are used as key parts, when a certain key part is depressed, its corresponding electrodes are mutually contacted, terminals 10 corresponding to the contacting electrodes are mutually energized and the depression of the key can be checked. Since the transparent keyboard is superposed to the liquid crystal device, the display can be observed through the transparent keyboard and the liquid crystal display area can be expanded.</p> |
