The multi-storey car park is in the form of a circular tower with a central lift shaft which is surrounded by radially arranged parking spaces on each floor of the tower. The tower has an entrance space (15) with its floor aligned with the level of the access road (14). A platform (9), which can be raised and lowered in the lift shaft, is aligned with the floor of the entrance space so that a vehicle can be driven from the entrance space on to the platform. The platform is then raised or lowered and rotated if necessary to align the platform with a parking space into which the vehicle can be driven.
