<p>The control electrode (6) of the c.r.t.(3) is fed from the junction (5) between the collectors of a complementary pair of bi-polar transistors (8,9). The current through the pair is controlled by a current source (18), which is itself controlled by the signal input (4) and feedback from the output signal. The bases of the transistors are fed by voltage reference sources (21,22), while the base to emitter potential of the PNP transistor is strapped by another voltage reference (24) and a series diode (23).
