PURPOSE:To harden an oxygen permeable film completely without drying an electrolyte in an oxygen electrode by performing a thermal polycondensation of a solution of a monomer or a low molecular polymer that generates water by polycondensation, to form the oxygen permeable film. CONSTITUTION:A platinum cathode 2 and a silver anode 3 are formed on a glass substrate as insulating material by a platinum sputtering or a silver deposition. Then, an electrolyte in the electrodes 2 and 3 is dried light and a solution of a monomer or a low molecular polymer that generates water by polycondensation undergoes a thermal polycondensation on the surface of a sensitive part to form an oxygen permeable film 5. During the formation of the oxygen permeable film 5, water is supplied from a film material in the course of the polycondensation. This enables stable formation of a layer of an electrode internal liquid finally, thereby permitting the formation of an electrode internal layer in the production of a fine oxygen electrode easily and with a high reproducibility. |
