PURPOSE:To accurately effect the X-ray absorption analysis of a soft X-ray region, by connecting a rotating target type strong X-ray source and a vacuum chamber, and installing an X-ray detector in the chamber. CONSTITUTION:A rotating target type strong X-ray source is employed as an X-ray source 1, which is connected to a vacuum chamber 2 with a vacuum passage. In this vacuum chamber 2, a solar slit 6, a sample T, a monochromator 8, a solar slit 6-1 and an X-ray detector 9 are disposed. By this consitution, there is no absorption of soft X-rays by air. In addition, the passing distance of X rays is short, and the attenuation thereof becomes smaller. Therefore, it is possible to accurately carry out the X-ray absorption analysis of the sample T. |
