PURPOSE:To eliminate the limitation of the storage date of patch data and to securely perform patching operation by storing the patch data in a file to be patched together with the added patching date and making patch corrections. CONSTITUTION:For example, the patching date is added to the patch data and the resulting data is stored in the patch data file 2-1 of a system 2 to be patched. Then, the constitution which performs the patching operation automatically at the time of IMPL after a specified patching date or the patching date is employed. Consequently, the limitation of the date at which the patch data is stored in the patch data file 2-1 of the system 2 to be patched can be eliminated and the patching operation is securely performed at the specified patching date or after the patching date.
