PURPOSE:To print or display an easy-to-see system test result by printing or displaying a device in abnormal operation with a figure of a thick line, etc., and a device in normal operation with a thin line, etc., and also printing or displaying characters together. CONSTITUTION:A printing/display device 1 is so constituted that the figure of a device mounted on the computer is divided into plural character parts and dot patterns of the respective divided parts are generated and registered automatically from outside by assigning codes; and the device develops figures, characters, etc., corresponding to the codes into dot patterns and prints or displays the patterns. A system test control table 3 is a table which contains the result of a system test, a serial number, an equipment kind name, etc. Therefore, even a computer system having no graphic display device can print or display the system test result, i.e. the device in abnormal operation with the figure of the thick line, etc., and the device in normal operation with the thin line, etc., and also print or display characters together by using, for example, a Japanese line printer. Consequently, the system test result can be printed or displayed in an easy-to-see state. |
