PURPOSE:To rationalize the dispatching work of postal matter by measuring the external form and the weight of the postal matter spontaneously inside a mailbox, and calculating a charge. CONSTITUTION:A postal medium is carried by a postal medium carrying means 4 in the order of an external form measuring means 1, a weight measuring means 2 and a stamp printing means 3. A charge calculating means 6 obtains an external form measured value and a weight measured value from the external form measuring means 1 and the weight measuring means 2, and calculates the prescribed charge. A cash processing means 5 receives paid cash or a paid gold note, and judges it, and executes the settlement of accounts such as the return of change, etc., as receiving the instruction of the charge calculated by the charge calculating means 6. The stamp printing means 3 prints a stamp to show that the charge is paid, and after that, the postal medium is stored. Thus, it becomes unnecessary to stick a postal stamp on the postal medium to be thrown in, and the dispatching work is rationalized. |
