发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT AND PROJECTOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease the multiple reflection losses of light in a spacing part formed of a lens array and the liquid crystal display element and to obtain bright projected videos by providing a refractive index adjusting layer in this spacing. CONSTITUTION:The spacing is formed between a lens array substrate 101 and a glass substrate 13 constituting the liquid crystal display element. A nonvolatile oil for refractive index adjustment is injected under a reduced pressure in this part and the refractive index adjusting layer 110 is provided by sealing the lens array substrate 101 and the glass substrate 103 therebetween by a sealing material. The spacing consisting of the air layer is filled by the material having the refractive index closest possible to the refractive index of the material forming the lens array 101 or the substrate 103 of the liquid crystal display element and has high transparency. The reflection loss arising from the multiple reflections and the generation of interference fringes, etc., are decreased in this way and the bright projected videos are obtd.
