<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate close operations even in the case of a fine drawing and to facilitate the operation of a coordinate input device by producing a coordinate ratio and the relative coordinate value. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate input device and an input pointer (pen) 4 are connected to a main body 3 with a cable and the subject device receives the magnetic field generated by the pen 4 via the coil of the main body 3 to read the coordinates. The coordinate data is sent to a data processor of a computer, etc., via a cable 9. Then a coordinate ratio and the original point coordinate value are set to magnify/reduce a distance on a planar plate based on the pointing signal which controls the coordinate input device. The original point coordinate value is added to the product obtained between the coordinate ratio and the absolute coordinate value showing the position of the pen 4 for production of the relative coordinate value. As a result, a part of a drawing can be displayed on the entire input screen with an optional point defined as an original point on the display screen of a display device. Thus a close drawing can be easily inputted on a screen, as well.</p> |
