The hook 1 articulated at 2 is normally in a low position bearing on the stop 6 preventing the cable 7 from leaving its position in which it bears normally on the roller 8. When the fastening 9 clamped to the cable 7 approaches the hook in question, the latter actuates the lift of the hook 1 by means of the flexible and tensioned guide 11 located in the path of the fastening. The guide 11 is continuous from one of the ends to the other, at the same time passing through the orifice 16 of the hooks. The orifice of the hooks and the end fixings allow free rotation of the guide, thus making it possible, together with the cooperation of the arcuate movement of the hook and the friction of the fastening on the guide, to rotate the latter during each passage of fastening, so as to distribute the wear over its periphery. Embedded in the guide is a flexible metal ring, in which a weak monitoring current circulates. In the event of critical wear of the guide, the ring is bared, thus bringing about an earthing as a result of friction on the fastening. In the event of a break of the guide, the monitoring current is cut off. <IMAGE>
