The invention relates to a mould for prestressed reinforced concrete railway sleepers which are provided with holes which result from moulding and/or with sheaths embedded when moulding, particularly sleepers for switchgear. This mould includes an individual frame 30 allowing prestressing reinforcements to be held between two fixed endplates 32 held at a distance by longitudinal members 31, and an individual mould cavity 20, interacting in a sealed fashion with the frame so that the frame and mould cavity together constitute a mould receiving the poured concrete. According to the invention, the bottom of the mould cavity includes an opening 22 receiving a removable plate 40 with which it interacts in a sealed fashion; this plate is an interchangeable plate chosen from a set of different plates each one provided with shapes similar to the said holes and/or with means 42 for positioning the said sheaths, the number and/or the position of these shapes and of these positioning means differing from one plate to another. In this way it is possible, with a single frame and a single mould cavity, to mould a set of sleepers of the same length but provided with holes and/or sheaths the number and/or position of which differ from one sleeper to another. <IMAGE>
