Gas insulated high voltage converter

The high voltage converter has a stem (1) of insulating material with a tube (2) to the secondary conductors. The tube supports a cup shaped device (3) that is enclosed by a dome shaped cover (24) that is secured by bolts (26) and has a sealing ring (25) at the interface. A primary electrical conductor (6) passes through a boss in the side of the cup. Internally, the conductor has a threaded ring (7) and washer (8). This is loaded by an external nut (16) and ring (13) fitted with O-ring seals (19,20). The internal surface of the cover and housing is coated with a metal layer.
