A conductive gel suitable to load in macro-, micro-, and potentiometric gas- and bio- sensor electrodes is based on poly-acrylic acid crosslinked by allylether of pentaerythritol (0.15-0.6 wt. %); and a 2-3C aliphatic diol or triol, pref. glycerol (11-18 wt. %); the mixt. also contains preservative (0.005-0.2 wt. %); an organic or inorganic base pref. sodium-hydroxide or tri:ethanol-amine (0.1-6 wt. %); and distilled water (65-93 wt. %). The mixt. is homogenised to a gel, followed by adjustment of the gels electrolyte concn. using buffers. This adjustment yields final concns. of 10 power -1 - 10 power -5 moles/cu dm, both for buffers and in terms of ions to be measured; pref. a value of 10 power -3 moles/cu.dm(Dwg.0/0) |
